Actor Biography
Chiara Aurelia is Jeanette Turner, a sweet high schooler who has a zest for life but an almost obsessive need to be loved, in Freeform's highly anticipated drama "Cruel Summer."
Aurelia is quickly emerging as one of young Hollywood's must-watch stars. She can be seen starring alongside Lily Rabe and Amy Brenneman in Amazon Prime Video's drama series "Tell Me Your Secrets," as well as the thriller "Fear Street 2," Netflix's second installment of the "Fear Street" trilogy.
Aurelia is best known for her performance as a younger version of Carla Gugino in Netflix's "Gerald's Game," for which she won a 2018 Young Entertainer Award, in addition to the movie being recognized by the iHorror Awards and Fright Meter Awards. She also co-starred in the 2018 crime thriller "Back Roads," appearing opposite Juliette Lewis, Nicola Peltz and Alex Pettyfer. This film won Best Feature at the Rhode Island International Film Festival and earned Aurelia another Young Entertainer Award in 2019.
Aurelia's other screen credits include appearances on NBC's "The Brave," ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars," CBS' "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," ABC's "Agent Carter" and the indie films "Big Sky," "Secret Summer" and "Opal," to name just a few. For her role in "Opal," Aurelia earned a Best Young Artist Award at the CineRockom International Film Festival.
Aurelia is a passionate activist who supports various organizations, including No-Kill Los Angeles, Best Friends Animal Society, and The Angel Food Project. She is also a member of the Young Leaders Council at Oceana.
